Who’s this guy anyway?

I am glad that I hear you asking this question. He is a guy aged 30 and he lives in Berlin, Germany. He doesn’t see no reason why he should use nicknames in the Internet as long as he has something to share regardingless whether this would be information, his opinion or anything else. This is why he runs his blog under his real life name which is – guess what – Michael Schwark.

It might be a worthful information for you that he creates grooves on commission. In case you wonder who the heck would need a groove – just like I did a few years ago – his customers have been rap & hip hop artists, radio channels, radio play producers or web magazines et cetera from all around the world. Usually he uses his Roland TD12 and records MIDI or Audio (Ableton Live 8). He doesn’t make a living of that thus he only accepts such orders if he feels that he can really contribute something “special” to the project.

This place here is probably not the best place to get to know him properly. He doesn’t intend to post everything which he thinks about and deals with in his everyday life. In fact this blog mainly deals with drums. Drumming and music are influential parts of his life just like his Labrador “Dude” Lebowsky, literature, web design, eating Japanese food and being a teacher. Though he is probably going to add something which goes beyond drums and music from time to time you still better drop him some lines to get to know him in detail, folks. Wer ist dieser Typ eigentlich? Schön, dass Du diese Frage stellst. Nun, er ist ein 30 Jahre alter Mensch, der in Berlin lebt, Schlagzeug spielt, Musik schreibt und alles, das er hier veröffentlicht, nicht hinter einem Pseudonym verstecken möchte. Deshalb trägt dieser Blog hier auch konsequenterweise seinen Namen.

Für den einen oder anderen Besucher mag es eine wertvolle Information sein, dass er von Zeit zu Zeit Grooves, Beats und ähnliches, mitunter auch kleine Stücken Musik, für Radiostationen, Künstler und Filmproduzenten aufnimmt. Dafür verwendet er seine VDrums, ein TD12-Kit, Ableton Live 8 und diverse andere Software und Hardware, deren Namen hier nur Verwirrung stiften würden. Anfragen für interessante Projekte sind also jederzeit herzlich willkommen.

Vielleicht ist dieser Blog nicht die ultimative Möglichkeit, ihn näher kennenzulernen, denn hauptsächlich dreht sich hier alles um Schlagzeuge, Grooves, Musik und ähnliches. Genauso sehr beschäftigen ihn aber die Themen Webdesign, sein Labrador Lebowsky, japanisches Essen und natürlich sein Broterwerb, das Unterrichten von deutscher und englischer Sprache – dem er mit Begeisterung nachgeht.
